Questions & Answers

What's the cost?

Tickets are all inclusive for the weekend (accomodations + five meals + workshops + live music) for $389 per person. Tickets are non-refundable but transferable if need be.

What is included?

Your ticket covers lodging for 2 nights at Lutherhaven's new (& very fancy!) lodge, a new planner, mug, 5 meals, endless coffee, use of Lutherhaven's grounds, & multiple planning workshops.

Who is the retreat for?

This retreat is for Christian homeschool moms seeking clarity for the year ahead and space to be poured into. This is a moms-only gathering, created to give you focused time for planning, rest, and encouragement.

What's the sleeping situation?

Think grown-up slumber party. There are 8 rooms for 38 women, with a mix of king and queen beds (shared) and twin bunk beds, with a maximum of 6 moms per room. We’ll gather preferences in advance and assign rooms thoughtfully, though specific bed or room requests can’t be guaranteed.

Can you accommodate dietary preferences/needs?

Yes, to a certain degree. Gluten-free, dairy-free, & vegetarian options will be available at every meal, as needed. If your dietary needs go beyond gluten or dairy free, you’re welcome to bring your own food—there are multiple kitchens and refrigerators available for storing and preparing meals.

Is this the cabins at Lutherhaven?

For those who have been to camp at Lutherhaven before, you're probably familiar with their more rustic cabins. We'll be in their new (super bougie) 9,000 sq ft LODGE that sleeps 38 comfortably. We will have use of the grounds (including the beach, mini golf, & hiking trails). View pictures at: www.lutherhaven.com/lodge

Can I request a specific roommate(s)?

Please do! We want this to be a fun and comfortable weekend for you and your mom friends. Just note your request on the intake form, or email me at loribeth@elevatingmotherhood.com, and we’ll do our best to accommodate it.

Do I have to plan my whole school year?

Not at all. I’ve talked with several moms who said what they really need isn’t more planning—it’s a weekend away. If that’s you, you’re absolutely in the right place. All workshops are optional, and you’re welcome to come with your own goals for the weekend—even if that simply means resting, relaxing, and having fun.

Is this for new or experienced homeschool moms?

Both! Whether you’re just getting started or have years of homeschooling under your belt, this retreat is designed with you in mind. There will be guided workshops, along with plenty of time to share stories, ideas, and wisdom—because there’s room here for every season and every story.

What to Expect

Formal Instruction:

Formal instruction with Lori Beth Auldridge as she shares wisdom from her 19+ years of homeschooling experience. She'll walk you through her homeschool planning process step by step. You’ll receive a new planner, talk through curriculum options, and map out the 2026–2027 school year in a way that fits your home and season.

Unstructured Downtime:

Plenty of unstructured time is built into the weekend to rest, connect, and enjoy being away. Relax in the hot tub, play mini golf, explore hiking trails, enjoy beach access on Lake Coeur d’Alene, join in game nights, worship sessions, or simply unwind with meaningful conversation and laughter.
